Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk a professor and Ilkay who is an actor, director producer playwright teacher and Director of the Drama department at St. Thomas University. Her performance as Bo along with Lauren as lovers of the same gender in Lost Girl was named one of the show's Favorite Television Couples by CNN and named the Top Television Couple for the year 2013 by E!
