Her first film appearance was Down Twisted. The fame of her was born when she played one of the main roles in the horror-slasher movie Scream. The film was enormously successful in the commercial world and made over eleven times its budget. The critics also liked the film. The actress reprised her character in the three subsequent sequels to the film. When she portrayed the lead role in Friends, her popularity soared. There were numerous nominations and awards for her performance. The show that was hugely successful aired for ten years. In her most recent work, she played an important supporting role as a supporting character in Mothers and Daughters. Her work has been recognized with numerous accolades, such as her the TV Guide Award and Golden Derby Award.
